About Us

About Us

High Performance Computing (HPC) involves the use of advanced computational systems and technologies, characterised by high efficiency and performance. HPC caters to computing tasks that require one or several of the following: handling substantial data volumes, executing large-scale computations, ensuring rapid response times, optimising power utilisation, adhering to stringent security standards, and maintaining a high level of robustness and scalability.

The Hong Kong High Performance Computing Association (香港高性能計算學會) (hereinafter described as “the Association”) is committed to promoting research, development, education, scientific and commercial applications, and enhancing public understanding, across all facets of HPC.

VISION and MISSION

Vision:

High Performance Computing (HPC) is a transformative tool capable of advancing human progress, poised to play an increasingly crucial role in our society.

Mission:

As a non-profit association of HPC stakeholders, our mission is to facilitate the advancement of HPC technologies, represent and advocate for our stakeholders, and foster the application of HPC across all sectors and industries to enhance its societal impact and relevance.
